To highlight the newest timepieces, Van Cleef & Arpels has imagined an immersive installation to celebrate the Poetry of Time™ collection at South Coast Plaza from April 1st to 16th, 2023. 

For the occasion, the mall's Jewel Court will be transformed into a dreamlike walk in an enchanted forest suspended between heaven and earth. The Maison has drawn poetic new stories from some of its emblematic sources of inspiration, reflecting its unique Poetry of Time™. Imbued with dream and emotion, this vision of watchmaking is brought to life through the exhibition display, offering an immersive journey at the heart of the Enchanting Nature up to the heavenly vault. Created in collaboration with two workshops perpetuating prestigious craftsmanship, the decor features mesmerizing elements from the Aubusson tapestry workshop and the Glassworks glass workshop.

At Costa Mesa, Van Cleef & Arpels highlights the signature aesthetic of the Perlée® collection through new timepiece variations. Five timeless models marry gentle curves with subtle details and watchmaking savoir-faire with jewelry-making inspiration to offer a contemporary take on jewelry that tells time. In fluid lines, the watches bear a round shape bordered with a double line of golden beads displaying their side in mirror-polished rose gold or diamond-paved white gold. Under their rounded glass, the dials are adorned with a décor of pavé-set diamonds, or guilloché rose gold or mother-of pearl, each capturing light for an intense sparkle.

Ever since its origins, Van Cleef & Arpels has celebrated the beauty of fairies in creations that evoke dreams and wonder. Like a protective muse, a fairy in a sapphire and diamond gown watches over Van Cleef & Arpels’ Poetry of Time™. Her face, depicted by a diamond, forms a dazzling contrast with the bluish tones of the sky, in guilloché mother-of-pearl. Seated on a cloud of iridescent white mother-of-pearl, this feminine figure pointsout the minutes with her magic wand; meanwhile, the Moon harbors the passing hours in a window of mother-of-pearl, haloed by a gentle glow.

To pay tribute to the nature that has fascinated it ever since 1906, the Maison has drawn inspiration from the floral clock concept, developed by Carl Von Linné in his 1751 book, Philosophia Botanica. In it, the Swedish botanist evokes a hypothetical garden plan made up of a broad variety of plants, whose flowers open and close at specific moments of the day to tell the time. Van Cleef & Arpels has taken up this principle to bring two creations into being: the Lady Arpels Heures Florales® and Lady Arpels Heures Florales® Cerisier watches. Their three-dimensional dial offers a poetic rendition of the passage of time, thanks to the opening and closing of twelve corollas.
