An exclusive tribute to the historic home of Van Cleef & Arpels

22 place Vendôme: at this legendary address, Van Cleef & Arpels opened its first boutique when it was founded in 1906. Deeply connected to this leading center of French jewelry, the Maison expanded over time to include numbers 20 and 24. In 2020, this vast site was completely transformed by the agency Jouin Manku. With its soft curves, delicate colors and plant-inspired details, the space subtly evokes the poetic nature cherished by the Maison. On the stairwell, Art Deco-inspired roses are revealed in full bloom as they irresistibly attract the gaze.

To celebrate this renovation, Van Cleef & Arpels decided to open a unique Salon des Parfums at 22, its historic birthplace. A new olfactory creation imagined by the perfumer Quentin Bisch celebrates this momentous occasion: 22 Vendôme, a fragrance dedicated to the Maison’s historic address. Just as exclusive as each of the scents in the Collection Extraordinaire, this fragrance symbolizes the Maison's special bond with this location.

A jewel of roses

The emblematic Art Deco rose motifs of the Vendôme salons inspired perfumer Quentin Bisch for the creation of the fragrance. This unique floral blend, crafted like a jewel, emerges after a fruity opening that combines pear and bergamot essence. It unites with iris to create precious and elegant middle notes. At the base, patchouli and vetiver provide a truly modern chypre trail, while tonka bean adds an unexpected gourmand touch.

The mark of a place

The signature design of the Collection Extraordinaire exceptionally reproduces the floral motifs that adorn the stairwell of the Vendôme salons. These stylized roses can be seen through the transparent back of the bottle in a bright shade of silver. They are also embossed on the sleeve of the collection's iconic white box. Sophisticated details that evoke the Maison’s historic address and unique olfactory heritage.
