From March 21st to April 6th, 2025, Van Cleef & Arpels and Alexandre Benjamin Navet collaborate to transform Tai Kwun with a joyful playground that pays tribute to spring’s eternal youth.
Created in collaboration with French artist Alexandre Benjamin Navet, the season of rebirth is given a fresh narrative in an unexpected world of adventure that blooms in Tai Kwun. Coinciding with Hong Kong’s Art Month, the Maison’s immersive art installation brings an abundance of colour to the city.
The beauty of nature and the grace of flora have played a significant role in the history of Van Cleef & Arpels since its founding in 1906. With extensive archival imagery to explore, Alexandre Benjamin Navet has embedded himself in the Maison’s heritage in his search for inspiration, a journey energised by a mutual passion for bringing poetic dream worlds into being. In this artistic partnership, Tai Kwun in Central Hong Kong has been given over as an expansive canvas to Alexandre Benjamin Navet, upon which the spontaneity and vibrancy of nature spills over into dreamt up floral forms that carry visitors through an enchanting playground.
The artist's distinctive style is a celebration of the act of drawing, itself the genesis of creative expression and craftmanship. Whether it be walking through whimsical flower arches, perching on a swing, taking a rest in a pergola, or playing with a fountain, visitors are invigorated by spring’s perennial renewal.
"I am delighted to have this opportunity to visually articulate the poetic and luminous buzz of springtime in Tai Kwun."
A nexus for cultural heritage and contemporary art in Hong Kong, Tai Kwun provides an ideal backdrop for Alexandre Benjamin Navet’s vision, which finds its own balance in an utterly distinctive blend of imagined utopia and fine-tuned aesthetic. Van Cleef & Arpels and Tai Kwun are both motivated by a mutual desire to inspire the local community through the energy and magnetism of creativity.

Echoing this initiative, dancer and choreographer Némo Flouret will present a site specific performance, an ongoing project supported by Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels. Exploring the movement vocabulary of the everyday, Némo Flouret and his dancers will open up previously unseen perspectives of Alexandre Benjamin Navet’s installation, adding another layer of vibrancy to the temporary playground for spring that Van Cleef & Arpels presents to the city. This is the first time the artist’s art installation has engaged in a creative dialogue with contemporary dance, a partnership which arises from a mutual desire to inspire audiences through innovative and inspiring expressions of the world around them. Performances will take place in Tai Kwun on March 29th to 30th, 2025.
Van Cleef & Arpels invites the visitors at Tai Kwun to celebrate the arrival of spring 2025 in this magical display, with Alexandre Benjamin Navet and Némo Flouret.
